In this video, David talks about a Cancer Fundraiser Event - Ride to Conquer Cancer that took place at Tam and Elena's Menchies at Rutherford in Bathurst (Rutherford Marketplace) in Thornhill (just north of Toronto) on Sunday May 5th from 1-5 PM.

A percentage of proceeds went to the Ride to Conquer Cancer Fundraiser which goes to the Princess Margaret Hospita.. Dj pit Pure Entertainment was there. There was also music, a singer, a raffle, face painting and other entertainment, great prizes with all money going to a great cause!

Real estate in the province of Ontario has been very stable, despite the subprime crisis and stock market crash where people lost 30% off the value of their homes and many people had their savings drop in value by as much as 50% overnight.

The other upside with mortgages is that you are not even exposed to 100% of the value of the real estate. If you have loaned to 75% of the property value and the value drops by 20%, as the mortgagee on the property, your investment is safe (assumes 5% selling cost), while the owner of the property is wiped out!
