The concept of Infinity is inspired by the mathematical model of Lorenz attractor loop. The Lorenz system is a system of ordinary differential equations (the Lorenz equations, note it is not Lorentz) first studied by Edward Lorenz. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the Lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the Lorenz system which when plotted resemble figure eight.
The dual nature of Lorenz attractor shape was taken as a conceptual model for the internal organisation, and as a circulation model of the Experience Centre.
The general spatial distribution of the car experience centre is laid out in the form of a fluid journey, where one space spills into another, where circulations paths weave into one another to create smooth movement and
a continuous experience. This journey is complemented by the fluid curved architecture that does not have a clear start or end, a complex and orderly system in the form of a spiralling loop, much like the Chinese belief
regarding the creation of life and the universe: heaviness complementing lightness, solid complementing void, mountain complementing river, ground complementing sky…all these characteristic fold into the museum as spatial
expression, and fold out into the city as public space.
