PENTAX DCU5 and why I don't use it

I know some people do use DCU5 and it does have some advantages. BUT, this is 2022 and the software is lagging regarding the image quality that it outputs compared to most of the software that's out there.
If you do Pixel Shift, want to know every single element of each shot you took, or you want to play around with the Pentax custom image settings without doing it on the camera, then for those things, yes DCU5 is worth using (although Darktable does pixel shift as well and probably better).
Anyway, what are your thoughts on Pentax Digital Camera Utility 5?
