How to Add a Favicon (Logo Icon) to Your HTML Website

In this video, we look at how to add a favicon to your HTML website. A favicon is the logo icon that appears in the browser tab—next to the name of the webpage—when viewing a website.

Favicons are really easy to add and help give a professional touch to your projects. You can create a favicon using any graphics editing software, and there are even a number of free favicon creation tools available online.

You'll need to save the image as a 32 x 32 px PNG and rename it to "favicon.ico". Place it in your website's root directory and add a simple "link" element in your HTML document to ensure its shown correctly.
