Описание к видео 3 Modules

Welcome to the bottom rows! You may have noticed that I recently added a Wogglebug to my system, and I wanted to make a patch where its chaos could run free. There's also another newcomer down here.

I'm not usually a fan of module functions that are intentionally obfuscated, like certain aspects of the Wogglebug seem to be. But with the Wogglebug in particular, a module dedicated to randomness and unpredictability, I actually like it. The manual does offer some hints as to what's happening behind the panel, but it's just vague enough that you still have to experiment and be surprised to a degree – particularly when it comes to the use of the Influence CV input and the audio outputs. I think that might lead to some different kinds of patch notes: More like little discoveries than technical explanations.

Patch notes:

The sounds are produced by Wogglebug's ring modulation audio output, passed through the Dual Borg (with a resonant filter going into an LPG) and then to the big/hall reverb algorithm on Black Hole DSP 2.

I'm using the smooth random output from Wogglebug to modulate the resonant filter's cutoff, and the trigger burst output to "pluck" the LPG. The Woggle CV output modulates the BHDSP2's Crush parameter, which effectively changes what sample rate the DSP runs at. The effect becomes quite drastic when the CV attenuator is turned up, going from sweeping pitch shifts to all out lo-fi signal destruction (that's what makes the static noise here).

I found that, for some reason, patching the Wogglebug's stepped random voltage back into the Influence input tended to result in shorter, more percussive sounds from the ring mod output (see what I mean about "discoveries"?). It has an almost "rubber band"-like quality to it under certain conditions.
