Yamaha Motor's casting technology began with the casting of piano frames by musical instrument manufacturer Yamaha.
Even with the metalworking method that is casting, Yamaha Motor continues its policy of in-house
technological development and manufacturing that is firmly implanted in the company’s Monozukuri tradition.

In this video, a number of engineers from different departments talk about Yamaha’s casting technology
that was born and refined over the years through developing and manufacturing our products,
like Yamaha motorcycles, where, like cast magnesium wheels, each part is not only a functional
piece of the machine but often a key aspect of the exterior design’s appeal, and our marine engines
