Blueberry Bread - Cooking with Jennifer

Here it is!! For all of you who have been asking for me to make this amazing blueberry bead ! Give it a try...it's SO GOOD!!

BLUEBERRY TEA BREAD RECIPE
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter/marg. (1 stick)
1 cup milk
1 Tbl. vanilla
1 large egg
1 1/2 cup blueberries
1 Tbl. slivered almonds (optional)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
In large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, 3 cups flour, and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Reserve 1 Tbl. butter/marg. for crumb topping. Cut in the rest of the butter/marg. until it resembles fine crumbs. Stir in milk, vanilla and egg. Gently fold in blueberries. Spoon into loaf pan.

Crumb topping:
Combine 2 Tbl. flour, 2 Tbl. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, slivered almonds (optional) and 1 Tbl. butter/marg. until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle crumbs over batter.

Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes (give or take depending on individual oven). Let cool.
