💡About the event:
The June 2023 Asia-Pacific INFF Exchange event served as a forum for dialogue between policymakers leading INFF processes across the region, engaging private sector actors, civil society and international partners on sustainable finance. Through this event, participants shared and learned from promising approaches and practices, discussed innovations and identified opportunities and challenges for financing sustainable development. The event was jointly hosted by the INFF Facility, UNDP, UNDESA, UNESCAP and EU.

💡About session 4: Anchor public-private and blended finance use to a development rationale (e.g. de-risking energy, MSMEs, blue economy)
The session delved into the pivotal role of blended finance in anchoring public-private cooperation for sustainable development. Amid the exacerbated financing challenge for SDGs due to COVID-19, blended finance is being increasingly recognized for its potential to catalyse investment and greater sustainable development outcomes from private capital. This session aimed to demystify blended finance, and explored the challenges and opportunities of its application in different sectors. Participants gained insights into actions governments, private sector investors and the international community can take to enhance collaboration and alignment of blended financing with national sustainable development objectives.
