An overview of a roundtable discussion held in partnership between Egypt’s Ministry of Labour and the International Labour Organization (ILO), and with private employment agencies to discuss experiences and challenges in facilitating fair recruitment of Egyptians abroad.

This came within the framework of the EU-funded regional programme "Towards a Holistic Approach to Labour Migration Governance and Labour Mobility in North Africa" (THAMM Plus), which promotes safe migration and fair recruitment in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia with the EU. The roundtable also coincided with the enforcement of Egypt's new Labour Law No. 14 of 2025
