I continue my Rose Line journey on a family holiday to Sardinia, where I was divinely led to rent a car and leave the city of Cagliari to head to the ancient nureghe sanctuary at Santa Cristina. The goddess of the water greeted me through her powerful temple, built between 1300 - 1100 BC. Although called a well, this site undoubtedly was an integral part of the honouring of the water goddess and would have been a sacred ritual site. Its power is enhanced by the astrological alignment of the stairwell to the sun during the two annual equinoxes, and the moon shines in the opening at the top during the major lunistice every 18.6 years, when the moon rises and sets at its most extreme points on the horizon, while also climbing to its highest and lowest point in the sky. This is due to occer again later this year! I will definitely be returning to spend more time on this ancient land of the goddess.
