Kingston, Ontario - November 2024 - Representatives of the Canadian Coast Guard visit the company building barges that could collect and remove contaminated liquids from our waters. The greatest concern is spillage of oil and associated products. The barge being tested is the first of many that will serve on the East and West Coasts. With a 40㎥ capacity spread over four tanks, it can take large volumes aboard from collection points or engineered collection areas and convey it away for safe and proper disposal. Testing involved confirming best arrangements for movement and checking stability and buoyancy in different load configurations.
