Vertical Slice Architecture is a different way of thinking and organizing your code which is probably different from what you're used to. The primary driver becomes the features and the capabilities of your system rather than layers or separation of technical concerns. This enables you to make localized decisions per feature or feature set. That doesn't mean it's free for all of mixed concerns, such as database access and business logic.
