BACKPACKING ASIA: Vietnam Part 1 (Saigon, Hoi An and Easy Rider tour)

April 20th 2023, I embarked on a journey across Asia. Starting in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), Vietnam.

An astonishing country with so many different landscapes and activities from North to South and from the mountains to the sea. Warm and resilient people living the present and marching towards the future, never forgetting the horrors of one of the most notorious conflicts in the past century: the Vietnam War/American War. Scars of the conflict are still quite visible but I could not sense hatred or resentment in their eyes.

On this adventure, I tried to capture the music and sounds with a tiny digital camera (Nikon Coolpix A900) and a phone (iPhone XR).

Itinerary: Saigon - Cu Chi Village - Danang - Hoi An - My Son Sanctuary - Prao - Ho Chi Minh Road.
The maximum temperature at the end of April was around 35°C in this part of the country.
