So, with a new year comes brand new ideas and here is one of them. I got a Rode NT1A microphone for Christmas with a sound shield, I wanted to see if I could get into doing some vocal covers, here is the out come. I was a lead vocalist in three different Extreme Metal bands, so I've had time to work on my vocal technique, though this is the first time in a while that I've properly recorded vocals since I was in band last year, so I guess I'm a little rusty, that and I'm currently ill.

In no way do I even come close to sounding as good as Mikael Åkerfeldt, but I've done my best to get the parts down as close as I can, though I do need to work on my pronunciation and elongated screams/growls, thank fuck I'm finally managing to quit smoking. I will admit that some of my vocal parts are not what you see in footage, there a few parts that were overdubbed during the editing process, but it's all the same stuff, if you like what you hear and want to see more of this, leave a comment below with some suggestions!
