Billy Ray Cyrus initiates legal separation from Firerose after their 7-month marriage

The romantic relationship between Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose has come to an end.



Legal documents filed by Cyrus, aged 62, in Nashville, Tenn., state that he and the singer Firerose, aged 36, parted ways on May 22. As per the court records acquired by People magazine, the renowned singer, known for "Achy Breaky Heart," cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate conduct during the marriage as grounds for separation.

Cyrus has also informed the court about his intention to annul the marriage due to alleged fraudulent activities, although specific details regarding this claim remain undisclosed.

The couple tied the knot in October 2023.

During their wedding, Cyrus described the day as "an incredibly beautiful and magical celebration of love."

Firerose, originally Johanna Rose Hodges, and Cyrus got engaged in August 2022, though they didn't publicly announce it until later.

Their relationship traces back over a decade when they initially met on the set of the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," featuring Cyrus' daughter Miley. While reports suggest they maintained a friendship for years, they officially started dating in 2022.

According to sources, Cyrus asked Firerose to leave their residence on May 24. Allegedly, he is providing financial support for her temporary accommodation, initially offering $500 per night for 10 days and subsequently $5,000 per month for 90 days or until the divorce process concludes.

Despite once being active on social media, sharing glimpses of their love story, both Cyrus and Firerose have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Neither party has made any public statements regarding their separation.

During their time together, they collaborated on four country songs: "New Day," "Time," "Plans," and "After the Storm."

Prior to his marriage to Firerose, Cyrus was married to Tish Cyrus, with their divorce finalized in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage. They have five children together: Miley, Noah, Brandi, Trace, and Braison.

Additionally, Cyrus has a son, Christopher Cody, from his previous relationship with Kristen Luckey. He was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991.
