Описание к видео Week Ahead Weather Forecast: 30th November To 8th December 2024

Meteorological autumn ends on a very mild and that is how meteorological winter 2024/25 will begin tomorrow but looking ahead to next week further daily temperature fluctuations seem likely with colder and milder periods alternating.

Saturday morning has been mostly dry albeit with a lot cloud but there are a few patches of light rain and drizzle in the north and west. This afternoon will keep the same conditions going but this evening finds a band of showery rain pushing into the west. It's a very mild day with temperatures ranging from 10C to 15C.

Overnight, outbreaks of rain gradually push eastwards across England and Wales with clear spells and showers following through Scotland and Northern Ireland. It will be a breezy and mild day with temperatures of 9C to 13C.

Tomorrow will see more showers but also some drier spells and brighter spells as well. Another very mild day with temperatures at 9C to 14C.

A weather front pushes southwards on Monday bringing outbreaks of rain followed by brighter skies and wintry showers into Scotland. A colder day with temperatures of 3C to 9C.

Tuesday starts dry, cold and frosty but a band of rain will push eastwards across the northern half of the country turning to snow across Scotland as it bumps into the colder air. Meanwhile the rain should be mostly light and patchy for England and Wales. Quite cold on Tuesday with temperatures ranging from 2C to 7C

Wednesday brings another weather system in from the west with outbreaks of rain for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England while most parts of central and southern England and Wales stay mostly dry. Rather milder with temperatures back to 5C to 11C.

We could be between areas of low pressure on Thursday so perhaps a drier, brighter day but still with showers. Temperatures will be quite mild at 5C to 12C.

The next area of low pressure pushes in from the Atlantic on Thursday night and Friday with outbreaks of rain gradually clearing eastwards followed by sunshine and showers. Quite strong winds but very mild at 7C to 14C.

Low pressure clears away next weekend with winds turning back into the north, so a colder weekend is likely with wintry showers in the north and nigh frost if winds fall light.

Summary: Unsettled with rain at times especially in the north. Milder and colder temperatures alternating.
