IKS - Absolutely Obsolete (Full Album, 1984, HQ)

Описание к видео IKS - Absolutely Obsolete (Full Album, 1984, HQ)

This is one of my favorite albums, and at one time owned 5 copies. I posted it on Youtube back in 2019, but deleted all my videos after some copy strikes.

IKS was a New Wave band from Rockford, IL, and they signed with Fever Records of "Dead Milkmen" fame. This is the only known record they released. All the songs are original to this band, except for "Too butch" which was written by Ken Geottsch.

This is not my music, and I don't know any band members.

0:04 Who'd Hire (A1)
2:22 Absolutely Obsolete (A2)
7:56 We're Trying (A3)
11:06 Cranium Assault (A4)
13:29 City At Three (A5)
18:52 I'm Not Black (B1)
22:46 Too Butch (B2)
24:50 Evolution (B3)
28:52 My Dad's Ganglion (B4)
32:07 The Best Never Comes (B5)
35:58 War (B6)
39:36 Subways (B7)

(Btw, the mexican radio at the end of "Subways" is not interference, its a part of the record)

This record was recorded with an Ortofon DJ cart, through the internal preamp of a Yamaha RX-595, routed through a Behringer Xenyx 802 without any extra EQ, and transfered to my computer via a Startech.com USB audio card. Hopefully Youtube compression maintains that somewhat of the quality I was going for. The only thing I would have done different is cleaning the record to remove some of the pops and crackles. Vinyl Studio will also be a future purchase.
