Well, after just landing in Chennai, I didn't want to waste any time and headed out to the most popular beach in Chennai, Marina beach.

I hoped in the a rickshaw without even wanting to bargain as I was so hungry I couldn't think straight. But the man was really nice and gave me some pointers like making sure not to pay money to go pee.

I wasn't surprised but it looked like I was a little early. Not much was open, but luckily I found some good ole corn being grilled up, I just had to work my way past the horse rider party.

The corn was pretty darn good as it is similar to an American corn, juicy and sweet with a coating of lime, and chili & salt. Two very nice girls came up to see how I was doing and making sure everything was okay, which it definitely was, I appreciate them checking in on me.

After paying for my corn, I realized the corn lady and horse man are working together. They seemed nice so I trusted them and went for a Rs300 ride. The horse was calm and she was a good girl. This was a fair ride and I liked the people so I gave them a little extra so they could take care of the horse.

Potatoes are my kryptonite so I had to try the spiral potato that so many others were eating. Not too bad, but just hits the spot when craving fried potatoes.

After walking around I couldn't really find much. I got a coconut at a famous beach price, some chili prawns that were okay, and then the thing of the night had to be the Chicken lolipop. This was the best food item(besides the corn) that I ate the whole night. Juice, crispy, and spiced perfectly.

The character of the night goes to the Bhel Puri sellers. His Bhel Puri was nice, but when he added Mayonnaise it killed me inside. I didn't hate it, but I can't really say I loved it either.

Finally, can't finish without something sweet so I made sure to grab a few ice creams on the way back to my apartment and went ahead and got a chai as well.
