Glencoe is perhaps Scotland’s most famous and most scenic glen. Located within the Lochaber Geopark in the Highlands, the deep valley and towering mountains were carved out by icy glaciers and volcanic explosions. Despite its sorrowful history, when an estimated 30 members and associates of Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were massacred by Scottish government forces, it is one of the most beautiful and other-worldly places in Scotland.
