Chinese New Year is celebrated as the Northern Territory Parliament sits for the first time in 2023.

The Opposition has called for a vote of no confidence against Natasha Fyles and the Labor party amid criticised policy choices from the government being blamed for alcohol-fuelled crime in the Territory.

It took an intervention from the Federal government for Natasha Fyles to bring back intervention-era alcohol bans in town camps which are expected to be reinstated by the end of the week.

Ms Fyles has doubled down, blaming Coalition policies and refusing to apologise for lifting laws which had ramifications on women and children, leaving them vulnerable.
