Whelen Edge 9000 - 4 strobe blue lightbar

I repaired this Whelen Edge 9000 series lightbar. It only has front strobes and one module with 2 large capacitors. The repair was actually pretty simple as the fuse was burned. Replaced the fuse with a new 15A and after that tried to understand the wiring. It had red, black, green, orange and white. Orange and white weren't connected. Likely these would be used for additional lightbar options in other configurations. Remaining black and red got the lightbar in operation. The green wire was connected to purple/violet on the inside and it seems it impacts the brightness as I see/hear more current used. However, it does that both when I connect it to + and -. Not sure to which it should be. This unit is going to be used indoors in my volunteer fire station. Going to wire it in such a way that is will trigger when we have an alarm. Fun project!

LowPower / VIOLET :
The type of switch used is dependant on how the operator wishes
the Hi/Low feature to function:

Latching Mode: By applying +12 VDC voltage to the Violet wire
for less than 1 sec., the power supply is “latched” into low power
operation. The unit must be turned off and then back on to restore
normal, Hi power operation. (A Momentary Switch is Preferred)

Level Mode: Applying +12 VDC voltage to the Violet wire for
more than 1 sec. holds the power supply in low power mode until
voltage is removed. (A Toggle Switch is Preferred)
