98 chevy pick up came in for a bad misfire. Customer had already changed the spark plugs and wires but still had a bad miss. We put the engine on the scope and saw that it had a secondary ignition problem. A common problem on this style distributor cap is when there is too much resistance for the spark to jump at the spark plug it looks for an easier path to ground.
