Well, at long last we bring you our third and final video in our Slade on Greatfield series. This video features an exclusive interview with Dave Hill's sister Carol. This video is a little longer than the other two in the series as Carol had a lot of fascinating tales to tell. She tells us of her early life living in a council house on the Warstones Estate, Wolverhampton with Dave, mum Dorothy, and dad Jack.
Among many 'never heard before' stories we hear about the time when Dave brought home the demo disc of Slade's 'Coz I Luv You' and how Carol told a disbelieving Dave that this would be Slade's first number one record. And, of course, it was! We also learn that Carol may very well have been the inventor of that 1970s fashion icon - the platform shoe!
In a moving moment Carol bravely tells us of drummer Don's tragic car accident that sadly took the life of Don's girlfriend and Carol's best friend, Angela.
The video ends on a high note with a fun rendition of 'Coz I Luv You' performed by the band Live and Dangerous (Howard, Mike, and Ashley).
