The not-for-profit charitable organisation has so far fitted 1.8 million handicapped persons in India and 35,000 abroad with artificial limbs, all free of cost. The Jaipur Foot shot into prominence after the 1986 film ‘Naache Mayuri’. The film was based on the life of actor #SudhaChandran whose right foot had to be amputated after an accident.
