The story of Ishq-e-Mamnu involves a man Adnan who devoted all his attention to his daughter Nihal and son Bülent after losing his wife some eleven years back. He lives in one of the most prominent areas of Istanbul with a relative’s son Behlül, and his children’s nanny. Adnan meets Bihter – a socialite couple’s daughter – and falls in love with her. While the story unfolds, Bihter and Behlül fall in love with each other and start their secret love affair. This affair soon affects their families adding to the problems and troubles.
