Conquer Mordhau on Console: A Beginner's Guide to Controller Mastery (2023)

Made specifically for controller players and Mordhau on console that released on Playstation / Xbox consoles July 12th 2023. With release on the horizon I decided to make a follow up to my original Ultimate Beginners guide.

This video was recorded on PC but knowing this game, I reckon everything will be identical other than the Mouse and Keyboard Support.

There is so much more stuff I wanted to put in but I couldn't fit it all. Turns out controller isn't so bad though!

One thing I forgot to mention (somehow) is Kicks (F), if someone is feint spamming you, a well timed kick goes a long way, you can even feint a kick or check a kick but kicking at the same time. Also that chambering is used to negate feints.

Also the flip attack section might be a bit confusing but essentially:
If you are using binds and have bound all the right attacks, then you can have a completely separate button for 'Flip Attack Direction' which will allow you to throw them to the left.

Please don't be toxic; this goes to new players and veterans, people always say the game is a cesspit but really if you're nice most players are nice too and are willing to help you learn the game if you just ask. Unfortunately there is no chat on the console edition so I assume the toxicity will be kept a lot lower.

Some extra things I wish I put in the video:

1. There are also a lot of ranged weapons and things you can throw like javelins (Im sad I left this out because my first 500 hours was pretty much just throwing stuff - dont let anyone tell you how to play the game) I unfortunately did not test throwing on controller but archery was pretty good.
2. I didn't go over the different weapon types as that can be found in the video linked above.
3. Watch their hands, not yours.
4. I wish I also added dodging/crouching to avoid swings etc but as I am also a controller noob I hadn't been able to fully lock that down yet.
