In March we have the community anniversary and this Spring we are marking over 10000 members in the entire country with a community gathering in Bran, next to the castle of Dracula. After a series of 4 webinars on Changemaking hosted by our colleague Claudiu Șulea, we are finally meeting face to face for 3 days of discovering what the organisation is doing and how we can be involved as youth, youth workers and teachers.

#GEYC14 also brought the 2024 nominees of the GEYC Changemakers distinction along with the members of the executive team and the board of directors.

GEYC - Group of the European Youth for Change was born in 2010, being one of the first digital communities in Romania. GEYC currently has over 10,000 members: young people, youth workers and teachers. We are active in the following areas: democracy and human rights, digital, entrepreneurship and sustainability. Among other things, GEYC aims to encourage the civic participation of young people, as well as promote sustainable development among young people. From its founding until now, we have worked together with over 200 organisations in Europe, our projects reaching over 10,000 young Romanians.


In the context of the dissemination, consolidation and target group expansion activities of the European Erasmus+ Youth accreditation project having no. 2022-1-RO01-KA151-YOU-000064796, GEYC runs this activity through which participants can learn, acquire new skills, network and communicate.

The GEYC Changemakers - 2024 edition is organised in the frame of the CERV project, EFIVOS in Europe - Youth Involvement in the European Democratic Debate through Journalism (project ID: CERV-2022-CITIZENS- CIV-101081482), aiming to increase the knowledge and awareness on EU institutions, policies and democratic procedures, empower youth to counter disinformation and enhance the democratic participation of disengaged youth through journalism and media.
