Western Influence on Indian Social Sciences | Come Carpentier with Rajiv Malhotra

After Independence of India, prominent leaders and philosophers like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo envisioned a Vedic-Social model for the Indian society. However, India took the Nehruvian route which was influenced by the 19th-century ideas of Europe and largely based on Marxism. These Nehruvian ideas are entirely Western import, totally alienated and disconnected from the Indian tradition. They continue to be entrenched in the Indian Academia, civil services, foreign policy and so on.
