In this game I put my updated strategy (described below) for Junk Yard (Classic Arcade) to good use! I additionally shoot at and alternate the magic bus ramp, for its random awards, with the alley ramp. I will use this game as the foundation for my short-format strategy guide for the table.

I key point about the game, is that you only need to collect the end-of-ball multipliers and the pieces of junk once and then you have them for the rest of the game. The way to start the game off, which I don't quite do in this game, is to spell DOG immediately so you can do the "Run away from Spike" video mode at least once (twice if you don't have the two pieces for the toaster gun) and then do the "Double Doggy feature" where you play "Save the Girl" straight after (pieces of junk get awarded for winning the video modes).

After that, do a sewer-magic bus-sewer ramp combo to get three pieces of junk (here is a clip showing the combo - note I did not first spell DOG as I now recommend). Thereafter, you just play the "Save the Girl" video mode to collect the rest of the junk. Each time you spell DOG to ready "Save the Girl", your multiplier increases, to a maximum of x6. Just before or after playing "Save the Girl" for the second time, Extra ball should be lit for 6 pieces of junk collected. Collecting the Extra ball should be the first time that you then play a mode and then only finish that mode and don't play the others until you have collected all the pieces of junk. Once you have all the pieces of junk and 6x multiplier, alternate the magic bus ramp with the alley ramp (here is a clip showing my technique for this). You don't want to do the magic bus before that else you'll get rewarded with junk and end of ball multipliers rather than with extra balls, multiballs etc. every 6 or so shots that you go round the magic bus ramp.

Play the rest of the modes, and continue to do "Save the Girl" to get extra fireworks (5 for each win). I only collect fireworks until I have 20 as you need that to play Outer Space to battle Crazy Bob and to get a 10 million bonus as Outer Space starts. After that, I just start the modes and let the time run out to not take any risks, or continue alternately shooting alley ramp / magic bus ramp as the shots count towards magic bus even though it will only be available after a mode has finished. After your first Outer Space, from there on in, it is basically just rinsed and repeat as you need not collect more junk.

It is thus pretty straight forward to get anywhere on this table, but it is unfortunately helluva tough and the outlanes are mean.



My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.
