The Holy Spirit is God, the Third Person of the trinity. He is the enabler, the helper, the teacher, the verifier of truth. It is the Spirit that directs (draws) us to Jesus the Messiah and provides revelation of/from Him.
The Baptism of the Spirit establishes the individual as part of the Body of Christ. It takes a human being once he or she believes and transforms them with the seed of immortality.
It is clear that the Bible teaches than no one can be an authentic Christian without the actions of the Spirit. The redeemed individual departs from the worldly mode of thinking and acting. The Fruits of the Spirit and the Spiritual gifts are available to those who have received Him.
