Tinder is the foundation of starting a solid fire. Kevin Estela breaks down manmade vs natural tinder and how to select and use tinder to easily and quickly start a fire, even in difficult environments. Manmade options are often most effective, as they light easier and burn longer than the natural counterpart. If manmade tinder isn't an option, the great outdoors are abundant with dry, dead leaves and bark that will work very well for lighting your fire.
