(GP2040-CE) How to Wire and Configure a USB Passthrough (For Xbox Series/PS4/PS5)

Описание к видео (GP2040-CE) How to Wire and Configure a USB Passthrough (For Xbox Series/PS4/PS5)

In this video, I show you how to wire and configure a USB passthrough for the GP2040-CE platform. You'll need a USB passthrough which can be purchased from Amazon. The link for this is below:

These are screw terminals and can be used with Dupont wires. The Dupont wires I use are below:

Make sure at least one side has a female connector to connect to Raspberry Pi Pico Pre-soldered boards. You can also strip a USB cable and use the 4 wires for that, although the wiring is not labeled.

4 wires are needed:
VBUS
D+
D-
Ground

The VBUS wire needs to be connected to the VBUS post (Pin 0) on the Pico Board.
D+ and D- must be adjacent wires (for example if D+ is Pin 14, D- must be Pin 15).
Ground is any ground wire that can be Daisy-chained or used individually.

This completes the physical setup. The next portion is configured using the web configurator.

You will need to plug your controller into a PC while holding down the S1 or Start button. From here,
You can access it by going to the website 192.168.7.1 on any web browser.

Once the web configurator loads, you'll need to go to Peripherial Mapping and Enable USB0. Select the D+ pin as the one you wired. In this example, I used D+ as 14. 5V is set to "Unset" and leave the Pin Order to "D+/D- 0".

Once configured, go to Pin Mapping to ensure that the D+ and D- pins that you assigned show up as "Assigned to Add-on".

Once confirmed, you can double-check your Boot Mode Shortcuts. You can also manually change the Boot modes.

Once you do this you will be able to test that the USB Passthrough works.

For PS4/PS5, the following dongles are confirmed to work:
