When I was writing songs regularly, I would often record videos of me playing them soon after I roughly got the chords and melodic structure in place. I recorded this video shortly after coming up with this chord progression, and I used the video to document the vocal runs I wanted to put in the song. The lyrics to the song were improvised on a theme, both in the video and in the final recording of the song, "waste," which was released on the album "was never • will never be" in September 2017.
