Should you buy a Record SC4 chuck?

Описание к видео Should you buy a Record SC4 chuck?

I really like the Record SC4 chuck. I review the chuck in this video, and compare it to the Nova G3 and the Oneway Stronghold chucks.

Update on 10/28/17: The SC4 that I have has a chuck insert that does not have a locking screw for the lathe spindle, and so should not be used for reverse turning, regardless of the locking screw that secure the chuck to the insert. Record does have a 1 1/4 x 8 insert with a spindle locking screw. If you purchase this chuck and want to do any work with the lathe rotation direction reversed, be sure to get the insert with the spindle lock on it.

Update on 10/23/17:
PLEASE NOTE: at 5:00 min into the video, I say that "one interesting feature of this lathe is that it says it will take all Teknatool Nova jaws". I should have said "of this chuck", not "of this lathe". I believe my intent was clear, as I slapped my hand on the SC4 chuck when I said that.

However, Teknatool just contacted me by email, asking me to take down the video, or edit out the segment. They state "This is problematic as using non genuine NOVA chucks with NOVA jaws could lead to operation and safety issues and will void our market warranty." So be aware that using Nova jaws on a non-Nova chuck will void the warranty on the jaws.
