San Francisco Historic Hotels of America Intercontinental Mark Hopkins

We are headed to San Francisco, and we will show you around the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins Hotel. If you are headed to San Francisco or surrounds, this is a great hotel to stay at and one of the only that does not charge for dogs during your stay. It is also on the Historic Hotels of America's registry. This land was once home to Mark Hopkin's mansion that was destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fires. After it was destroyed it was sold to a gentleman who was interested in turning it into a luxury hotel, and that is how the Mark Hopkins Hotel was born. We will do a room tour, and show you around the hotel, take you up to the Top of the Mark, and show you within walking distance across the street of this beautiful historic hotel.
