Under the new "kafala," or sponsorship system rules, foreign or overseas workers will no longer need or required their employer's permission to change jobs, travel abroad or leave the country permanently. The Saudi labours reform Initiative is slated to come into effect in Mar 2021 and will benefit the approx. 10 million foreign workers.
