Watch Singapore PM's full speech which has drawn a sharp reaction from India

Addressing Singapore's Parliament, on a report by the Committee of Privileges on 15 February, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke about the need to safeguard democratic institutions in the country. Speaking about how 'trust in the political system has all but broken', Singapore PM also referred to India and said, 'Nehru’s India has become one where, according to media reports, almost half the MPs in the Lok Sabha have criminal charges pending against them, including charges of rape and murder.'
