Описание к видео POV: You Joined The Deep End Fitness Community

Deep End Fitness is not just swimming, nor is it simply a workout. It is a unique experience that challenges athletes to push their minds and bodies in and out of the water.

While the water and fitness are an integral component of this mission, it is important to consider what the end goal of DEF Training is.

1. Improved Water Confidence: Our Founders were ‪@marinecorps‬ water survival instructors. During their time doing this they recognized the value of putting athletes in uncomfortable situations underwater, but doing so in a safe and controlled manner.
2. Improved Respiration: Breathwork is integral to the end goal of Deep End Fitness. Put simply, the better you breathe, the better you perform. Controlling your breath allows you to control your mind and ultimately your body.
3. Improved Strength and Endurance: Resistance training in the form of calisthenics and weighted movements in and out of the water challenge athletes’ strength. This allows athletes the ability to reap the many benefits of resistance training and apnea training. Apnea training (or conducting movements while intentionally ceasing breathing) allows athletes to challenge their cardiovascular endurance, V02 max, and their C02 tolerance.
4. Community: An often overlooked component of Deep End Fitness, this is hands down one of the most important aspects of Deep End Fitness. Individuals can thrive alone but tend to flourish when grouped with like-minded individuals. The community is what keeps DEF athletes going when things get hard and challenging.

Disclaimer: While DEF training is rewarding and fulfilling, it also carries inherent risks. Never conduct DEF training alone and always ensure you have a qualified DEF instructor present and guiding you in your training journey.
