Can electronics disappear after use?
In this video, we introduce our fully biodegradable and mass-producible fiber electronics developed at Seoul National University. These fibers combine high conductivity, stretchability, and washing durability — while naturally degrading in soil or enzyme-rich environments.

Designed from a tungsten–PBAT composite with a biodegradable PBTPA coating, the fibers support seamless integration into wearable devices. We demonstrate their real-world application via a smart arm sleeve that includes:

A temperature sensor

EMG electrodes

A wireless power coil

A soil-degradable eco-emblem

This work offers a sustainable alternative for the rapidly growing e-textile and wearable electronics industry — paving the way for eco-friendly healthcare patches, smart uniforms, and disposable sensors.
