A couple of weeks ago, I created a video for one of the most common resume questions I get which is “How do I write resume accomplishments?”. But the one question that takes the top spot is: “How many pages should my resume be?” or “how long should my resume be?”

If you’ve been Googling how to write a good resume for 2021, a resume that will actually stand out and get you noticed, no doubt you’ve been bombarded with opinions on how many pages your resume should have or how long your resume should be.

And there’s also no doubt you’ve received conflicting advice like “A 1 page resume is your ONLY option” or “You NEED a 2 page resume in order to stand out.

So let’s talk about how much the number of pages in your resume and resume length, actually matters.
