There are different types of symmetry. Let’s start with line symmetry, also known as reflection symmetry. If you can draw a line through a shape and the two halves mirror each other, that's line symmetry.

Next, we have rotational symmetry. This occurs when a shape can be rotated around a central point and still look the same at certain angles. For example, a star has rotational symmetry if it appears unchanged when turned.

Lastly, we explore point symmetry. A shape has point symmetry if every part has a matching part at an equal distance from a central point.
