CELL C has a new lease of life after shareholders reached an agreement with the company to pay off multi-billion Rand debt and inject new money.

The recapitalisation agreement will see the embattled telecoms firm implementing its turnaround strategy after years of fears that the company would not survive its financial crisis.

CELL C CEO Douglas Stevenson spoke to our Business Editor Xolani Mbanjwa and described just how difficult the past few years of high debt have been for the group.
