To begin, open the Snapchat app and use the search icon in the top-left corner to find the person you want to add. Avoid tapping the "Add" button directly from the search results, as this will trigger the "Added by Search" notification. Instead, tap on their profile to open their full profile page.

Once on their profile, avoid using the "Add" button there as well. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of their profile page. From the menu that appears, select "Send Profile To." Next, search for your own username in the "Send To" field and send the profile to yourself by tapping the arrow button.

After sending the profile to yourself, go to your chat list and open the chat where you sent the profile link. From there, you’ll see the option to add the person. Tap the "Add" button here. By using this method, Snapchat will not notify the person that you added them via search.
