This moment in the track transitions from the intro to the verse—it’s a key change, a mood shift, and a perfect moment to unleash a beautifully flowing, tapping-based lick.

What makes this lick so special? It’s built around anchor shapes—those powerful 3-note-per-string scale forms that I teach throughout my system. These shapes allow you to use your fretting hand for the first two notes and then tap the third note (or even higher within the scale) with your picking hand. Combine that with some buttery hammer-ons, pull-offs, and legato phrasing, and suddenly you’ve got a lick that glides down the fretboard and back up again, like a wave.
