The Tragic Hero | Chapter One | A Boy From Nawakille

Описание к видео The Tragic Hero | Chapter One | A Boy From Nawakille

Roshan Khan, a young man, from the Nawakille, outskirts of Peshawar, emerges with the ambition of becoming a WORLD SQUASH CHAMPION.
At the All-India Squash Tournament, Roshan Khan was really eager to face off against Hashim Khan. But on August 1, 1947, United India was divided as the clouds of partition gathered over the Indian subcontinent.
Migration on both sides resulted in a flood of homicide and pillage that extinguished his aspiration, dream, and hope.
Although his older brother was still in India, Roshan Khan felt isolated. Roshan Khan got ready to compete in the national squash competition.
The first professional squash tournament in Pakistan was being planned in 1949. This competition was Roshan Khan's sole opportunity to demonstrate his mettle.
It was undoubtedly difficult for a young player to overcome a professional squash champion, but Hashim Khan and the squash doyens realized that this young player started to pose a threat to other players on the squash court.
Roshan Khan made the decision to travel to Karachi in search of better possibilities and prospects. He had nothing to brag about—no house, no job, no money—apart from his unwavering love and enthusiasm for squash. Roshan Khan spends his evenings sleeping on Karachi's streets.
