The New Balance Minimus TR v2 has been a highly anticipated training shoe for zero-drop shoe lovers.

I was a fan of the original New Balance Minimus models and I've somewhat enjoyed the latest iterations — despite thinking they're pretty narrow. When the Minimus TR v2 came out I had high hopes.

After about 30,000 steps and 2 workouts, I wanted to share an overview discussing some initial impressions I've had in the Minimus TR v2.

I'm desperately hoping this is one of those slow-burn training shoes that grows on me over time because right now, I'm not loving them.

I think it's the lack of quality feel and my prior notions about this model feeling hopefully closer to the older Minimus models that have tripped me up with this shoe.

As for sizing, that was also kind of a letdown with this shoe as I found them to run exceptionally short, and I'd suggest most to size up in them.
