Nightcore - Hej, Sokoly!

"Hej Sokoły" (Гей соколи) is a Polish song that tells the story of a young man saying goodbye to his beloved for a long absence. The exact origin of the song is unknown, but it is believed to have been composed by the poet and songwriter Maciej Kamieński (1734–1821) in the first half of the 19th century. It is representative of what is known as the Ukrainian School of Polish literature.

Due to the song's questionable origin, it is presented as either a traditional Polish or Ukrainian song. The lyrics vary only slightly between the Polish and Ukrainian versions.
