SEIMITSU ALUTIMO SWITCH INSTALL / SWAP

Описание к видео SEIMITSU ALUTIMO SWITCH INSTALL / SWAP

Here's a video on how to swap out the Cherry MX Switch for Seimitsu's Alutimo pushbutton.

A few notes:

We suggest purchasing an angled tweezer for this procedure. The first few times you take this apart, the contact rollers inside may pop out or move out of place. They are very, very small, so it's hard to hold these and precisely put them back in place. We found an angled nose tweezer is the best tool to help with this procedure.

Depending on the switch you will be swapping these out for, Seimitsu designed this pushbutton to ensure there is no mis-fire. This happens for a few reasons. The travel distance between various switches are different, therefore, the spacers they created ensures the perfect travel to activate the pushbutton. The stock spacer is a resin based measuring at 1mm high. The optional metal spacers are .2mm (so 1/5th of the stock).

Currently, there is no definitive chart for what spacers are required for each MX Switch. We'll have to do some more testing ourselves to see if there is a reliable formula to see how many of each spacer is required.

Lastly, to help you install this pushbutton, we do recommend picking up a Buttercade Snap-Out (in 24 or 30mm or both). This holds the pushbutton in place perfectly to allow you to install all the parts back into the body.
