Right age to start SCHOOL - explained with reference to Stanford study

With reference to a research paper published in association with Stanford University about delaying school starting age of kids, lot of blogs have been published lately. People have inferred in those blogs that we in India are sending our kids to school at an age as young as 2.5 years.

Here I see two issues -
1. Not going through the study in depth or comprehending it incorrectly
2. Applying the results and points made to younger kids (between age 2 to 6) who are not even a part of this particular study.

This video mentions the study and the video after this will have details of both the above mentioned points.

There was a research paper published by Thomas Dee and Hans Henrick Sieversten in association with Stanford University where they studied and compared kids in Denmark who started school at the age of 6 and at the age of 7.

They came up with interesting insights and explained valuable concepts like relative & absolute maturity, academic red shirting, etc.
