The Fingal Beach is located along the Coastal trail between the Fingal Picnic Ground on Cape Schanck Road and Gunnamatta Beach, accessed by steep steps. With more than 400 steps, visiting this spectacular place is not for the faint-hearted, but is worth visiting, if you are fit enough for the long climb back to the trail. You might walk over long sandy and occasionally rocky areas and even small rock pools, which are stunning.
The place itself is very peaceful and secluded, with barely another soul around. It gives the occasional visitor great photo opportunities, especially in the evening light.

The Fingal Beach area can get very windy. The beach is not patrolled, and the reefs and rocks make this an unsafe beach for swimming and surfing severe rip currents, which intensify around low tide, might be very dangerous. Swimming and surfing are not advised unless you re highly experienced.

Please also note that the beach, especially the walking trail to Gunnamatta Beach is partially or wholly under the water at high tide.
